Every transition — chosen or imposed — invites a small disorientation. The familiar landmarks shift, and we find ourselves standing in unfamiliar weather, asked to choose a direction we did not expect to choose.
Beginning where you are
Returning to the path does not require knowing the destination. It requires only the willingness to feel your feet on the ground beneath you, and to take the next small, honest step.
"The path is not lost. It is simply waiting for you to notice it again."
Practices for reorientation
- Place a hand on your sternum and take three slow breaths before any decision.
- Walk a familiar route at an unfamiliar pace.
- Write a single page describing what feels true today.
Transition is not a detour. It is the path, asking you to walk it more consciously.
